TDS Racing back to the podium at Road America

20 March 2026

• Second podium in 2025, the first since Sebring for the #11 Oreca 07.

• Steven Thomas and Mikkel Jensen put in a solid race in massive battle on track

• A successful final Sprint race before the last two races of the Michelin Endurance Cup.

After two unlucky results at Watkins Glen and Mosport, TDS Racing made a solid comeback to the front of the field at Road America with a third-place
finish at the Wisconsin track for Steven Thomas and Mikkel Jensen.

Before the summer break, Xavier Combet and Jacques Morello's team shone in a field where “close racing” was clearly the rule during the 2:40 sprint.

After convincing free practice sessions, with the best LMP2 laptime in FP1 and a second place in FP2, Steven Thomas qualified the #11 Oreca 07 in 5th position on the grid, offering real hopes of a good result.

Back in third place before the driver change, Steven Thomas made a faultless start in the first part of the race before handing over to Mikkel Jensen. The latter remained in the right rythm, before losing some places at the last pitstop.

However, after a hard battle on track and a fuel-saving strategy that paid off, the Dane managed to regain his position, securing an important result that will give the team fresh momentum for the end of the season.

The Sprint season concludes on a high note ahead of the Endurance Cup campaign, which will return on September 21 at the legendary Indianapolis’ Brickyard.

Xavier Combet
TDS Racing - Team Principal

“We were happy to have Mikkel back behind the wheel of the TDS prototype. The event ran smoothly, and we were on the pace right from
the start of the weekend. Getting back on the podium feels good. With the same determination, we’ll approach the upcoming races with
confidence. “

Mikkel Jensen
TDS Racing Driver

“Steven did a great job in the beginning and handed over the car in 3rd. Later we lost a lot of positions in the pits during FCY and got out in 7th. After that we tried to be smarter than the others with fuel saving which eventually paid off and in the end I could get us back up to 3rd.”

Steven Thomas
TDS Racing Driver

“I had a good drive but then Mikkel got shuffled back to 7th in the pits. Mikkel then passed four fellow pros to get us back to to 3rd and on the podium! Mikkel proved again that he is the best prototype driver.“
